Desire Is King Posted in: Perfection in Seeming Imperfection, Suffering and an all-powerful benevolent God

Premise: God is perfect and therefore everything that comes from God is perfect. Us and this world included.

How so?

Especially if you regard this world as primarily a place of suffering.

I propose that part of the perfection of this place is that where it serves us (in terms of the way we desire to express and explore the divine) to whole-heartedly believe something to be true, no matter how objectively far fetched, we will find that something believable. Almost to the point of obvious truth (i.e. 2+2=4). But in many cases that may include the idea that I am my body, or God does not exist. Desire is king, not truth. For me that certainly fits better with a believed divinity of the soul than with us being fallen, banished and trapped.

I might not be wrong.
